Does anyone make their own shooting tabs? if so how, I have a good supply of deer leather I made would like to make my own. I shoot bare fingers most of the time, but my new bow pulls a little heavier than I am used to, need a little cushion. Thanks.l

Made some shooting tabs from antelope leg rawhide with the hair on. Stiff enough to do some good and the hair was slick enough that it shot pretty good. Took a while but wore all the hair off, still shot pretty good, just not as slick.
I just prefer to shoot a three finger glove rather than tabs.

I have a few small pieces of Cordovan that Jeff Uttley gave me that would be perfect for these tabs. I'll have to give them a try! ;) 8)

I've been making my own since I got one with a kids compound bow set when I was really young. Used it as a pattern and made them bigger- 2 finger holes, or 1. 2 finger and 3 finger. Made a new one earlier this week that will work better with the kind of shooting I've been doing over the summer. Heavier leather and larger. I can post pics of the progression if you want.

Lets see it,were all about makin em better!! ;)

Randy, you can go one step farther with the one with the lace and have it tie around the wrist. That way you wouldn't have to climb down out of the stand when you drop it.
