Was out scouting for good deer hunting spots, ran into this.(http://i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz103/wdmnerc/100_0672.jpg)(http://i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz103/wdmnerc/100_0669-Copy.jpg)(http://i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz103/wdmnerc/100_0669-Copy2.jpg)(http://i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz103/wdmnerc/100_0672.jpg), I also cut some oak, not sure what kind, most likely red we have alot of that and a few cherry staves. Hunting for bow wood is almost as fun as hunting for deer. The hedge log was 12" by 13" the one side had a limb so it is fire wood but this other side is pretty straight. I even started splitting the other way with the grain to get double the staves. Now just have to wait. Even got a 40 some inch osage for billets or mabey a take down, been wanting one of them.
