Thanks for the comments. I recently harvested my Montana Merriam, a jake with a 3" beard weighing in at 22.5 lbs. I was going to make a call from each wing but left the boiler on for too long at too high of a temp and charred the bones of the first wing. I then collected the bones (radius, ulna, and humerous) of the other wing and peeled off all access muscle tissue. I used a piece of wire to scrape out the bone marrow in the radius and ulna. Using a rounded file I removed the flaky bone in the humerous. I boiled the bones (at a lower temp this time) for around 2 hours. I let them dry then soaked them in bleach for a little over an hour to dye them white. I washed out the bleach. Then I epoxied the bones together and tied the gaps.
