Title: Wrapped metal take down
Post by: Kegan on September 14, 2010, 07:28:36 pm
When I posted the two take down prototypes, there was a little interest in how I did my sleeves. I finally got the pictures up on my site. Hope this explains sufficiently :)

Thanks guys. I just hope others can give take downs a try now, I know I had a bunch of trouble for the longest time with them.

But no forum Ken, that's what I come here for ;D

Very innovative Kegan! Your website is also nicely done. I haven't made a takedown, cuz I just can't bring mysef to cut a perfectly good bow in half!!!  ;D

Aero86- by all means! It will most likely live longer that way :D. I just wanted to test out the handle to see how tough they are.

Thanks Adb! I usually make Take downs out of staves that are in that middle ground between really good, and not good enough for a reliable hunting bow. Making it travel friendly turns an everyday stave into a magic weapon ;)!
