how long would the arrows need to be? they would not need to be 28 to 32 inches would they?

I don't know what spine you will need, but I have seen Plains Arrows that were real old. They were all barrel tapered and were fairly short, around 24 inches. Bill

The arrows would not have to be that long but the longer the arrow is the easier it bends around the handle of your bow. Shorter arrows will shoot fine but longer arrows will be more accurate. The west coast indians who used really short bows that had short draws shot Long arrows... 26-30 inches or so. They also were hunting at very close ranges. I definitly would not use 20" arrows if you want good accuracy but I would make them 24" plus.

Has a lot to do with how wide your bow is at the handle. For a decent weight arrow to be fleable enough to bend around the handle you may want to keep the arrows at least 26" long. If you are target shooting and use light arrows for more speed you could go shorter as they will have a smaller diameter and be more flexable. Steve
