We discuused this before on here but i am still amazed at how my knapping reaches a plateau for months an then all of sudden something good just happens as if someone turned a light on. I always have that feeling that I just stepped it up a notch. The more I work at knapping the more challenging it becomes, I guess because I can do more with a pc an this test my skills to go further, This particular point is 1 1/4 wide an 2 1//2" long a less than a 1/4" thick, though not particular diffuclt style I got thinner an cleaner overall. I started using my hand flaker for last couple of passes instead of Ishi stick an it seem to clean up overall point. I started knapping late in life so I have to try an catch on quicker an make up for some lost years. Gettin kinda windy so Thanks for lookin an thanks to many of you for helping me along this journey. Later Bob

Bob, nice lookng point
i know what you mean about them plateus and all of asudden that light goes on
i startedwith slabs and copper, then made the turn to actuall rocks, took a bit and all of a sudden i knew how to spall decent
now i made the switch to anlter tools, been playing with them off and on for about 2 months now
it seems like al of a sudden i can make nice points with just a moose billet adn a whitetail antler tine
i love it when that light comes on ;D

Most of my plateaus seem to be on my points these days. :o
Looking good! Keep it going.
Hanging on to older points is a good thing to measure your progress on. I'm already looking forward to your next well made point.
