Title: hickory selfbow d/r

Last time I have made few such bows , one of them. 155 cm , 50 lb at 28 ". Realy fast bow. Oval cross section , hickory.

      That bow is a good looker for shure, and 50# will make a great hunting bow as well. Very nice, sir!!!!

thanks for kind words. I have start from 3 inch of reflex , after tillering about 1 inch. Hot steam and belly tempred.

Love the bow!  Gotta ask, was the Mirkwood Bow from LOTR an inspiration?  That thing is better than the licensed versions!

Thanks.Yes Mirkwood bow was inspiration.This type of bow is not popular - short d/r and high cross section but I think this type of bow have potential shoot very well. Next time I must check such bow on chrono
