My buddy Steve got this 7 ptr this morning with his homemade bow. I had to settle for a squirrel. I'm off for 3 days camping alone and hunting tomorrow. (http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll210/RangerB/CIMG9156.jpg)

Hey Pappy, Steve had his story on another site and I think he said it was Osage but I cant remember what else.
-
Nice buck....Hope you are having a good one and gettin' your own!

Its a beautiful bow, just wanted to be sure it wasn't glass, Selfbow don't mean you made it
yourself. ;) ;D ;D Very nice bow and nice deer to boot, just wanted to be sure it was in the proper spot on the board. Hated to ask but O well. ;) :) :)

Now that I'm not sure of, I think it was made by a friend but I don't know all details for sure. I just remember Osage and then something else was on the handle.

Ranger B that is a nice buck your bud got there, however you can tell everyone it is much harder to hit, much less kill a trophy tree rat !!!
-
Jimmy I know any day you get in the woods is a good day. You have to love this stuff.

Pappy - I didn't call it a "selfbow" for a reason ;) It's a homemade bow. His good friend cut a Virginia osage and I think Virginia cherry and made it. It was his first bow ever and Steve shoots it well. I just got back from three days in the woods. I'll post pics and story later.
Thanks fellas. We've had a great time hunting up here. Leaves are beginning to change and the rut is only about 4 weeks out.
