well i have put together a couple of knives latley
steel ones for a change instead of stone
been wanting to do something differant lately, been feeling like im in a rut
so i dug thru my stash of started projects and found a couple of blanks i made a while back
so decided to finish them up
i like how they turned out,but i gotta say i like the narrower handle better
now i gotta make some sheaths for them
they are made from circular saw blades, have real nice 25* edges on them, will take the hair off my arms(what little i have)
the light colored wood is curley maple
the darker one is paduak
i did a little file work on the spine of each blade, just for style/looks
heres some pics, let me know what ya think, and thanks for peeking ;)
sorry,im not a photographer :P

Nice knives Tim. I have a friend cutting out some trades and blades with his plasma cutter for me. How did you get the initial angle on the edge.

thanks for the nice words, they are appreciated ;)
pat i did the initial edge on my belt sander before the hardening process
then used my lansky sharpening system to finish it up
josh, these are spoken for already.not sure if im up to making another right now for kith.but ya never know ;)
