Title: Tillering Question?
Post by: Bentstick81 on November 19, 2010, 04:08:29 pm
Was wanting to know, when you have a selfbow on the tillering stick, and if you shoot three under, do you make a string grabber so it simulates three fingers under so it shows how the bow is bending when tillering? To me, you need to do this to get the best tiller. Is this so? Thanks

Bent, you will hear several opinions here. I feel the most important place for good tiller is when I let go of the string, so now I tiller where the arrow touches the string. My logic is as soon as you let go the only thing holding back the string is the arrow, Steve

I tiller from the center. Then I continue tillering in front of a mirror, window at night or digi cam. Nothing replaces how I hold and draw. You will find strong opinions in this.  Jawge
