Post by: Gary Mac on December 24, 2010, 08:22:38 pm
I'm gonna be starting a tri-lam ELB shortly - (Osage Belly - Greenheart Core - Hickory Back).

Building from boards. I want the finished weight arounbf 70lb @ 28. Can anyone help me with
full dimensions of what I just be band-sawing to prior to shaping and tillering please?

1 1/4" from mid limb to mid limb tapering to 3/8" nocks should do the trick. Especially if its glued into reflex.

If you go to long with a bendy handle bow as in elb they tend to get too narrow unless you are going heavy. I would recomend about 68" long with a slightly elyptical tiller and a little flex in the handle area. Steve
