Just wanted to show some pictures of a kids Pyramid bow I built. Its 56" 2-1/8" at the fades straight tapered to 1/2" at the tips. About 5/16" thick. Have not put it on the scale yet but I'm guessing its right around 25# @ 24".
I used a Red Oak board from the lumber store. The wood had a few runouts so I decided to back it with some Red Rosin Paper http://www.wrmeadows.com/wrm00074.htm just because it's what I had laying around. I used Tightbond III for gluing the paper on. Worked pretty well I must say. The Red Rosin Paper is stout stuff.
Anyhow here are the pictures. Its going to be a Christmas present for a youngster I know. He has been skiing since before the holidays and gets back tomorrow.
Enjoy!

Really interested in the 'set back' handle. You ever done that for a 'big boy' toy?

No, I have not done it on a larger bow. My thought's were it would help him get a little more draw length/power stroke.
Glad everyone enjoy's it. Thanks for the nice comments.

Cool Bow! Really like the idea behind the set back handle but I don't think I would want to try it on a 50# bow... I would be too scared it would break at the fades... Got it bookmarked for January Self BOM contest! :)
