Got a 6 of these points from half eye. I put a single bevel on each side. All that's left is to hone them to that meat cuttin sharpness ;D Also sent me quite a few 1 1/8 x 8" pieces of the same steal ;) I'm going to try my hand at making a knife out of a couple pieces and the rest I'll cut to points like this one ;) Thank you very much Rich. I'll put them to good use ;D
This one is 123 grains

You have got a month of deer season left, I want to see some of those points painted red. Bill

Yep he sent me some of that stuff too. I cant wait to make some blades and points from it. I am also thinking about making a scraper from one of the pieces.

I don't see any reason that it won't make one. I've been honing the edge on this one and OMG. That is some good steel!!!

Hillbilly,
Never got to hunt pigs yet but I'd sure like to know how them heads hold up to that. For what it's worth I know for a fact that they will cut beef cattle ribs in half and will also penetrate the shoulderblade on one and they did not get so much as a nick on 'em.

With that thick of steel you could probably make a 1"x3" broadhead with the worry of the tip bending over. Single bevel, tonto tip and pigs look out! :o

LOL..Thanks Pat... Rich and I had talked about that ;) Soon as I get the chance( tonight?) I'm going to cut out a couple and see what they look like.
