Title: Found some BL finaly I think

Just cut down a tree will post some pics here in a bit, but it has rough bark purple color inside the bark no thorns and yellow- green heartwood. Hope that it is BL, have'nt got my tree book yet. The pics on a google search looks like my tree.

Now I 'm shure it is not. It is  Sophora japonica.

There was another Bl topic at the next page U chould find it. There was not 100% like here.

On your wood the bark is exactly the same like this trees have here in the garden.

If that is what it is I wonder if it will make a bow, and how did it get in my timber ??? Bird I guess.

From the size of the log, I would say it should make several bows!  >:D

Yea it's a big log it was a chore loading by myself, got one part split into quarters can be split again and one more part of the trunk too split tomorrow. Whatever this wood is I am going too try it. Don't know till you try.

Be SURE to take some photos as you work it. I always like to see 'new' woods tried.

Looks like B.L. to me.  '  Frank
