biface im working on. nice material. using the smaller billet as a punch.

thanks guys here's the finished blade. finished the edge with more punch work. in doing so i lost the overshot flakes . at one point the flaking was going so well i thought id do a solutrean but did what i always do and made a knife. ruined my best punch to by going for too big a flake on a heavy platform. tore the top right off the antler. got a bruise on my thigh to prove it ;D using stones to biface and then switching to indirect percussion for finish work is definitely my new style of knapping. i still want to work on hammer to hammer punch work though. have to find the right stone for a punch though. the last one i used was very difficult to hold properly.

thanks been trying to get time to shoot a couple vids of some of the stuff im doing. everytime i think i can do it, it snows again and im stuck behind the wheel of the truck. soon i hope.

i would like to watch how you do that kind of knapping
are you gonna be at the classic this year?
if so your gonna have to teach me how to do that,and not to mention show me what type of tools i need to do it with ;)

thanks tim. not sure if ill be down this year. but then ive found i never make plans anymore. i just shoot from the hip and end up somewhere . if im there you'll know where to find me. ;D
