Ive never been to MS.
I hear there is flint in the creeks in the North East part of the state.
Also you could plane a trip to Arkansas and get some novaculite. google megnet cove and novaculite.
I know there is a chert called MS river gravel that makes some killer points. But i am not sure were its found, maybe could google that to.
 Good luck!

The area around Meridian has lots of Tallahatta quartzite.   There is chert around Corinth, where I don't have a clue, it looked like Horse Creek.  Look up Ken Austin, he knows the where  about of every source of knappable stone in Mississippi.  He will be at the Moundville,Al. knap in March 12-13.  Bill
