im interested in building a bow soon.. thinking of either a holmegaard style flatbow, or a hungarian, but preferably more roman type composite bow... however, there doesnt seem much information online about making them, nothing that really describes how theyre constructed or how the "ears" are shaped and installed
a few old threads have links that im sure were useful then, but these links are broken now
so does anyone know where i can find the drawings of making the riser, the ears, attaching them, dimensions of the joints for the ears?
also, is reflex typically added to these by steaming the wood core and horn belly, or does the drying sinew cause the reflex?

If you are interested in composite bows then your best bet is to invest in a book and Adam Karpowicz's Ottoman Turkish Bows is probably as good as it gets
