Very nice!
-
Man that was quick. Didn't expect a reply that quick. Thanks Greg . Denny
-
interesting, how about some figures and a description of the woods used.
-
Ohma, the bow is 72 in tip to tip the amo is 68 inches. the handle area is 2 inches tapering to the tip at 5/8 inches. the wood is white laminated oak 3 layers of .090 . the handle is osage, with dyed hard rock maple laminated to the bow.The osage pc is 14inches tapered as the fade out.The finish is minwax sanding sealer with t-5 plastic coat lacquer. The bow is tilled 28 inches@40 lbs. There were 3 parallels used in the laminations are the white oak.One could use a tapered laminate on the top of riser fadeout, but I chose to use a parallel.090. Hope this answers your question.I demonstrate the build up on the u-tube. Thanks Denny

Thanks pappy, remember me at the lake erie shoot at prescille ?You where there with the shirts with ryan . I was the selfbowyer on display by the four wheeler. ?? Anyway medicne wheel you not only see a full draw, but you can see me shoot it. Just u- tube( jerbowden) . I thought that would be better than a still photo. I tried to post link, but didn't have any luck. Legionnaire thank you for you comment also. You will see the finished bow in the u- tube. Thanks again for taking time to look at my bow. Denny

Cool design Denny! :) Very beautiful curves on this one! Now post me a full draw pic for the bow of month contest. :)
-
Josh , I will be taking new pics and full draw for you tommorrow, Ben has the bow and wiill come to my house tommorrow.I will post under BYRD of PREY. Thanks for you comments and approval. Denny
-
are you short drawing in the utube video? seems like you can draw it to atleast 26"
-
Now thats a neat looking bow. Very flashy curves and just looks great. I looks like it spits them out there very well. Danny
-
My draw is about 27 1/2 inches the bow is 68 nock to nock. I suppose it does seem like I don't full draw, but it is where I anchor. I use the jaw to the curve of the hand method , which works great for me and shoots a shorter arrow. By the way the shorter the arrow doesn't mean the arrow won't be at full poundage. This bow was tilled 28 inch and40 lbs. Snappy shooter for 40 lbs. Thanks sidewinder for the nice comment. I am posting more pics of the bow at full draw. Denny

New pics of full draw.

Very Nice Recurve Denny! I love how you extended the handle, flows REALLY well with the rest of the bow. Got it bookmarked for February BOM contest too! :)

WOW! Denny, that's a sexy, looking bow. I bet it's a shooter, too.

Thanks Again Josh for your help. And thank you mullet, It is sooo much fun to shoot, It make a dummy look good. And really puts the smack down on the targets.I kinda copied the mollegbet bow levers and Asiatic curves. Denny

Aznboi3644,Thanks the tips are quite snappy for shooting. I thought you might remember me pappy , Short and chubby ,that I am.lol Yes the bow is a real sweet shooter. I have a friend who gave me lotsa appeton for handles and I can hardly wait to build another.Have you ever heard of appeton.Maybe I am not spelling right ? It is used for decking on firetrucks and tractor trailers. It was too pretty to burn, so he gave me some. Denny
