Title: Deer raw hide for bow backing

I'm making a 72" longbow and I'd like to back it with raw hide.  I have a couple in the freezer with hair on.  It's too cold to work them outside and I'd be in the freezer if I tried inside.

I only need, say 2 three ft long strips about 2" wide max. I don't have much too trade, except a bunch of turkey wing feather I bought a while back.  I live in southern NY state.
