Title: Josiah ~ Makin Bacon
Post by: hawkbow on March 04, 2011, 11:16:36 am
Josiah harvested this beautiful boar last month, hunting with Rattlin Randy~ in Texas.
He stalked to about 6 yards and got him with a self bow, self arrow, and trade point~ loaned from Randy.

Went for a visit with Hawk and Stacey Huston the other day and Stacey gave us a video of their family and the things they do.  Well, if you think you have lived the stick and string lifestyle, you should see this video.  I think when the boys were born instead of a swat on the backside they were given a bow and arrow.  Stacey has been a long time falconer and her photography work is amazing.  Not many families are all on the same level with the outdoors and I can say they are truly people of the wilderness!  A/Ho Indian Joe

Way to go Josiah!  That is a great!  Try not to out shoot the older folk at the classic, it is bad enough to be getting older, but to be out shot by a youngster, well that just puts a little more grey on them. ;D  Well ok, you can out shoot them, but don't win by too much. ;)  I think your Dad just needs to tell you next year, hey, we need meat, grab your bow, and bring some back. 8)
That is quite impressive there Buddy. 8)  Keep it up.  Waiting for pictures of your Elk, next. ;)
