Hello to you all
this is my first post and my first bow
I'm quite pleased with it, mainly I am pleased it didn't explode into a trillion pieces and fill my face with splinters - i can see that the tiller is not as even as i would have liked but the next one will be better
bow is white Oak, 75" long and only draws 30 lb
after seeing all the bows you guys have made and especially some of the BOM i think need to aim higher!

ok - how do you post photos!
-
you can either click on the "additional options" tab underneath the box you type replies in and then click "browse" to find them on your computer. Photos posted this way need to be 200kb or smaller though or it won't let them through. Or you can go to Photobucket dot com and register for an account, upload your photos there and post them using the "img"code it gives you. Just place the code(s) directly in the message box that you type your message in. Hope this doesn't confuse you, LOL. Welcome to PA by the way! :)

Hey "D",
Ya made a bow, it's holdin and know what ya want to do different on the next one......seems like ya good handle on it. Your bow's probably way better than my first bow was.

just the bottom one
That was the answer I was expecting with the hinge. Still all in all it shoots so score it in the win column! 8)
Welcome to the wood bow addicts site.

Nice to have you ;D I love this site because I learn lots of new things everyday. Nice for a first bow if it shoots an arrow you did it! Tiller will improve as you get more bows under your belt. ;)

this was tillered in the hand as i thought against a tiller stick and have yet to make a tiller tree
I do have a concrete post in my garden that is aching to have semi permanent tiller tree attached

Welcome Mister D. It gets better and better the more you do it too. Look forward to seeing your skills develop. Danny

Good to have you onBOARD with us.
Get ready to have your life consumed by wood. You will start looking at trees differently ;).
Oh, and by the way....It's better than my 1st 4 attempts!!

Great first bow Mister D, you should of seen mine ::)I look foward to seeing more of your bows :)
-
Welcome to PA and Nice first bow for sure.
-
Welcome to the board. Nice first bow. My first bow did not make it to pictures. lol.
You already noticed the hinged limbs. Thats alright. Thats what first bows are for. I would suggest your next project be a tiller tree and a tiller block. Both will help alot when it comes to tillering.
All in all, great first go, especially without a tiller stick or tree.
