Title: Yumi
Post by: skyarrow on March 24, 2011, 03:58:05 pm
I'm thinking of making one from rattan what is the dimensions for a yumi I know they were a really long bow made from bamboo. I think the rattan will do well for a test run since it's a very forgiving wood. If any of y'all know of a build along pls let me know

Rattan is way more flexible (less stiff) than bamboo. Make sure you make the bow thicker than you would if you were to use bamboo.
