started this back in feb., Got home from work one morning and my little buddy Sam was at the house. He's six and like my nephew, He's my preachers boy. Anyway after running traps and skinning beavers Sam decided he wanted to work on a bow. I pulled a stick out the corner of shame that I ruined for a hunting bow when I first started and I figured it would do nicely.
Here's A few pics of me and Sam working some yeller wood!

I'll have to see if pry it out of his Hands Keenan, LOL as far as passing on the arts it was more like me and Sam learning together LOL.

the bow is great!!! Even greater is you taking the time to teach a kid! Something I'm sure he'll remember the rest of his life! Very nice job!!

perfect day of bow making with a kid. way to help a youngster build his own stuff. he will want that bow forever(sorry Keenan). excellent waves in that bow btw. snake skins seem to come back to life on a bow like that.

Stiks, my work is a rotating shift set-up and when I get home most mornings I am not fit to do anything much less start a bow with a kid. My hat's off to you sir. O:)
And the bow turned out awesome.

Keenan, Keep your fingers crossed. You never know when an osage stik flinger may show up on your door step. Don't hold your breath though at the rate I've been going I might have to blow up a few more first ;D. LOL
Lane I've been off for about a month but was workin straight thirds and always stayed up till about 4 or so. I love the morning time and the morning sunshine. Always got to make time for my little buddy, I got 3 girls and although I love them dearly I like hangin out with my buddy Sam ;D
Criveraville, I don't ever throw away a failed bow, Got more of those than shooters. never know what may come out of that pile. I stole the title of my corner from Pat B., Kinda like it.

That is great. Very nice to see a kid getting involved in some simple fun. The bow looks great, I'm sure you made him very happy.

That is just so nice to see, stiks. Well done. Jawge
-
well done man, hes on his way.

That's Golden. You're a good man. I think I could confidently suggest that Jesus is proud. Taking your time to help that boy do something interesting and fun and not to mention cool is one of the things that really matter in life. It will have a profound effect on him...and probably you. You're a good man.
Oh and what a nice bow! :D

Thanks for the compliments, Means alot coming from guy's like Jawge and Keenan and the rest of you.
Arrowwind, I sure hope the Lord is proud bud. I try my best. I think I would rather build bows with kids than build myself one really. Good times for sure.
