Nice. I'm curious, was the straight side sawn or were both sides split? Odd to have a different profile on the 2 sides. Nice thick rings on that one. Good luck,
George

Very nice looking stick of osage. Nice thick rings but more importantly, nice thin early wood.......that'll be a good one.

started shaping it last nite, dont have band saw so doing everything by hand lol. Heres some more pics.
Katt

Great looking rings!
-
Nice... I have a band saw and I'm not sure I could get the limbs any more squared up than that. I don't use my band saw much for shaping anymore. Too easy to take off too much wood. That's going to be a good bow.

Hey Katt...it sure don't take you an hour and a half to watch sixty minutes now does it? Your making great progress quickly. I think that stick of sage is gonna be perfect for the design you have in mind don't you?
I got a chance to look at the piece of Vine maple you sent me and it looks good. It may be a little while before I can get mine started as we got pounded with hail last night throughout the county and I have to make sure I get my share of the roofs so we can keep paying the bills. Probably won't come up for air for a couple months but I think I can make steady progress on it. I need to find out whats the best way to straighten VM, especially older cured stuff. This one looks darker than the one I got from radius. It was real white in color. Danny

Katt
-
Looks like a great start to a serious shooter for someone!!
-
;D Ok more pics let me know what y-all think. Its now at 50# at 19'' so its getting there.
Katt
-
That looks really nice. Seems like that left limb is a little stiffer, is that one the bottom limb? It looks like it wants to be. I really like the way it's bending. Should be a real nice bow.
George
-
Yep thats the bottom and im still working on the tiller it seems to want to stay stiff lol ;D
Katt
-
Yea, there's always a problem limb in every stave. :( Good work.
George
-
Yes the left limb is a little stiff, if you scraped about 4-"6" from the handle on the left limb it will help. Looking great! 8)
-
;D More pics. Its starting to get there its 55# at 20'' now just need 6 more inches to get where i want it lol.
