Ok this one is mulberry. Cut it late last spring or earl summer. Took some reflex out of it with heat. Got it tillered to almost 28". I still have some wieght I can get rid of in tillering though. Backed it with some rawhide just to be safe. Don't want a chance of it blowing up on someone else.
Pictures 1&2 are when it was reduced to let it dry before I did some work with the heat gun
3- full draw
4 - braced
5 - just unstrung.
There is a bit of a whoopdiedoo on the lower limb that is throwing me off a bit.

Look good. I would hunt with it.
That woopdiedoo = character ;)

Looks good to my neophyte eyes.

nice lookin bow if anything a touch more on the upper limb or left hand side on the brace pic on the floor but I'm no expert ;) -Hammertime

Looks good to me, those little character curves make em hard to judge tiller on for sure, but I can't see anything that screams to be fixed. :)

Looking good ,if you have some weight to give I would take a little out of the middle 1/3 of the
limbs and get that bending a little more. Over all looks good,ya them woops will mess you up some but looks like you handled them very well. :)

Thanks guys. I got the last third of the limbs scraped on some more and I think she's come out about right. Got her to come in just right in both weight and draw. Doesn't usually happen that way for me. I got the rawhide sanded down real smooth and she's just about ready to finish up.
I am sitting in the suv and just heard a gobble so I must be off!

Just an update, I stained it with some rit. I will be adding a finish tonight and have some tanned deerhide for the handle. I ran out of tru-oil but have some boiled linseed oil that I will use. Never used it before. I guess it would be about the same except for the drying time? I will try to get some pictures up tomorrow of how the finish turned out.
