I've been working on my trade a bow a lot lately. My computer has been down for a week though so no pics yet, I hope to get some tomorrow. The bow is a hickory selfbow with a paper backing. 60" tip to tip.1 1/4 wide tapering to 1/2" tips Pulls 55# @26 right now( I haven't sanded it down yet so I'll loose a couple pounds there) I've put about 50 arrows through it so far.  I plan to put as many as I can though it before it gets shipped. It takes about 1/2" set right after unstringing and then it goes right back to stone straight. It has some hand-shock but not bad. I hope adding a thick grip wrap will help out some. I have a cool idea for the stain job( the plastic bag staining trick)  I'm gonna shoot the heck out of it tomorrow and get it sanded.  I'll post some pics tomorrow.

Add my vote for the "plastic bag trick" how-to thread!

For those of you that think hogs don't like -40 weather, remember they have wild hogs in the forests north of St. Petersburg, Russia!!  True, I'm sure they don't like it, but they can survive it!

I can't wait for this bow to arrive, Bill.  Thanks.    >:D

-
Looks like I'm gonna have to do the how to thread now. Maybe in the next couple of days.  Thanks for the compliments guys.
