Finished up the second bunch of sourwood arrows that I got from Hickory Bill. They all spine in the 40's. I used braided fishing line for the wrap. I like how these turned out better then the last bunch. I put a splice of white for the guide feather. I am really liking this sourwood. A few months ago I never even heard of it....

Those are some great looking arras Jon. Been quite awhile since I built one, need to get back in the groove.. Don't know about sourwood - all i ever used was cane..

Fine looking arrows. Did you coat the ties and with what, after you got them on ? ' Frank

Thanks Frank and cowboy. I coated the wraps with clear nail polish. I seen it in a thread that half eye started....great idea.

Knowing how dangerous it can be to use. Our wives' make-up, I now have this image of a couple o' rough an' ready hunters asking the nice lady behind the counter for the longest-lasting, quick drying nail polish, with as little scent as possible...
In my mind, the look on her face is PRICELESS!!! Hehehe

LOl...yeah. I tie flies for fly fishing and I use it on them also...Couldn't live without Sally Hansen's hard as nails....lol

I'll have to remember that brand..... I use a lot of clear nail polish on bass jigs :)
