Title: scrap bow for a friend / not for bom
Post by: half eye on May 24, 2011, 10:20:29 pm
I made this bow for a friend that has some problems with his shoulder, so here it is. Double curve, 54" white ash, self bow with some short Cane-Break from the grip to mid limb, the upper limb fineal is horse hair. Cass has a 25" draw so the bow draws a very smooth 40# @ 25 but will draw to 29". The arrow in the photo is 29" to the back of the head. (thanks to Ken 75 for the snake)

Thought ya might like a look, hope Cass likes it and can draw it well enough for his trip back here to Michigan for deer stickin season.

great looking bow Rich, I think that style is my favorite of yours. skins add some camo for the "deer stickin season" too.

The unbraced pic is wonderful Rich...I really, really like that style of bow.  As soon as I finish up a couple of my current projects I want to give one of those a try.  Still love the horse hair...just a nice touch of class.

Thank's for the nice comments, forgot to say that this was my first "skin-job" and also the grip wrap hides a "floppy-rest" because Cass uses a rest........again, thanks for the kind words
