Nice! What are you using for tools?

Nice notching! What's the material?
-
copper billet and ishi are the tools. As far as material i am not real sure.it came from tower i work with his brother and we have been making some gravel out of it. the top material had a blood stain look to it thought it was neat i am not sure what kind of point it is but it worked for me so i went with it.

Pedernales flint from the Pedernales & Llano rivers

Atleast we got something out of it this time instead of dust on the floor.
-
Well, that's deffinantly a bonus - getting something other than dust. That perd is tough. Keep on achippin..

trust me we have a bucket full of busted stuff. most of it is rock from around bend and richland springs though. Is there any good rock around springtown i am going up there the first weekend in july for a reunion with my wife. Would be nice to pick some up while i am there.

Looks good for your first try. I broke a lot of rock to get points like that. Keep up the good work.
-
As far as I know. The closest rock to me is in the Brazos river about an hour to the West. If your up on the north end around the Possum Kingdom dam, hit the river there and you'll find some..

You take that first notched arrowhead and put it in a real safe place and dont look at it anymore. Next year pull it out and you will be amazed at how cool it is.
