Title: Astro flight?

Ok I was looking in 3rivers and a saw astro flight string material now is is safe to use on self bows or will it cut nocks like fast flight I still like my B50 for strings but I like the new colors for this astro flight

Pad it and it wont cut anything. I use D10 now and dont see myself ever using B50 again except for padding my loops.

Ok how are you padding your loops are you using B50 for the padding I do a timber hitch/loop style for my bows iv never padded before

I make double loop flemish twists, no timber hitch's. I just add 4 pieces of B50 about 4" long to each end before I make my loop. I ened up with 12 strands of D10 and 2 strands of B50 in my loops. If you havent shot your self bows with FF strings you are really missing out in my opinion. Its amazing how much more quiet and calm the bow sounds and feels.
