Title: Roadside trash Chokecherry
Post by: frankg on August 10, 2011, 05:10:31 pm
Coming home from town I saw a sapling that had been uprooted by road crew when they were cleaning ditches this spring. It was pretty crooked and about 2.5-3" at its crooked base. Bark was dry, tight and took around 2 hours to peel off of the 68" that I salvaged to try and make a bow from . I dont know if it will or will become smoker chips :) Heres what I have so far , theres a pretty good knot midlimb to the right that is a little spooky !
