Nice. I've never used an antler billet before. I need to explore that side of knapping a little more.

Pete, like your tools & love your points. Question, what do you use the small mainbeams & antler tips for . The ones on the right side of your photo? I've seen antler tips that were dug up & they have wear on the tips, used for pressuer flaking. Those two tools you put together remind me of a tool that two people I know have found. Yours look similar , only they are shorter .A game Warden told me of a tool he found in the 50s in Burnet Co, TX. It is the base of an antler w/ about 6in of beam with it. The end had a cut crossways in it and a hole drilled in the center. In the hole was an antler tip. A pressure flaker. Then in 07 a contract welder at my work site told me he found the same thing only there was no tip in it. He thought it was a knife handle. When I told him what someone else found he thought his was the same thing. I was wondering if you or anyother abo knappers have used or seen this tool? Guess I could make one & try it out.

The little ones on the right are punches. I have added a few moose tine punches since that pic.
I'll be at Letchworth Jamie, unless something severe intervenes.
Thanks fellers!

Nice points, Pete and cool tools. It's been awhile. :)

Nice work. I like to see the tools. I've been trying to collect some hammer stones. Good to see what I'm looking for. I've been using geodes, they are hard and I can find round ones in all differnt sizes.

Very Cool! ;D Looks like you got a couple hophornbeam billets in there. It's been a while since I used my wood billets...
