Title: flipping the tips
Post by: tgr on August 22, 2011, 01:53:25 pm
Once again I have some deflex in a short 60" maple bow.  I have heated the tips and I'm bending them back to add a little reflex.  Probably won't stay that way anyway.  How long should I keep the tips bent back to maintain some sort of reflex. I've clamped down the bow and have a round object under the tip to bend back.  I also intend to back the bow with some deer raw hide that I made.

As always thanks ahead for any advice.

I take mine off the form as soon as the bend is the same temp as the rest of the bow.
