noel :'( :'( :'( :'(

Man up and shave it without water or soap using just a straight razor. You'll be so happy it's over you won't even miss it.
-
i already did, :'( and i do miss it, it really does feel like part of me is gone :'(

Your still there. A true revolutionary works from the inside. It'll grow back. What kinda school you go to anyway? Reason I don't shave is cause you always got to do it. Go shoot your bow and forget about it. ;)

i go to a catholic high school and once i graduate is coming back FOREVER

Sorry about your loss.
I am growing my annual deer season beard right now. I start at the beginning of Sept. and don't shave or trim it until I kill a buck.
-
in that case, i hope your beard stays nice and short ;)

Me too. I've grown a beard each fall and shaved it off the next spring every year since 1978 (except for 1 year when I thought I wanted to be in marketing). I started mine on Saturday. I used to shave it off the first day over 75 when we lived up north. Now, here in Texas I shave it off when it begins to get hot...usually in May.

I hate growing a beard, or in my case a goatee. After about 3 weeks I can't take it any more so I shave it.
-
Takes about 4 weeks before it stops being itchy and starts to soften. This spring I kept my beard into Summer because I thought I had a late Santa gig. Did you know there is an organization of natural bearded Santa imitators? Who knew? They asked if I wanted to join. Ha, I don't like playing Santa...but I can. :) Anyway, when I was your age Noel I couldn't grow one. :-[

I grew a beard this summer. June 20 - August 14. It was a Henry David Thoreau beard. I loved it. I looked mean with it on (says I). Anyway that last week in Aug I was up in Eureka, CO with my son on a church trip. My wife made me a deal. She said she would set my classroom up (I had to move halls and my room was a mess) if I would shave my beard. I agreed and when we pulled into town at 4:30 AM, she made me shave before I could go to bed :'( :'(

The good thing is you will always be able to grow a beard. I am enough of an Indian that when I was first in the paratroopers I had NO facial hair! The platoon Sgt would stand in the Latrine and watch to make sure everybody shaved before our daily run. I would lather up and shave with a razor with no blade and I always wished I could grow a good beard. Now that I am old, I think facial hair for me is a curse and my wife hates beards! Go Figure! ??? ??? A/Ho Joe

Grew a beard in my 20s, looked like Grizzly Adams. I found it annoying and shaved it off after a few months.
At my age(63) I am afraid to grow one now. Some bozo hunter might mistake my snow white beard for the south end of a north bound deer and send a bullet my way.
This may sound far fetched reason to not grow a beard but you never know.
A former manager at the power plant I worked at was hunting on public land outside Chattanooga, dropped his pants to answer natures call, some idiot saw the white of his underwear, fired a shot at what he thought was a deer and killed the man.

Shoulda got your doc to give you a letter saying you need to have a beard cos you're prone to ingrown facial hair, so it needs to be kept long for medical reasons.
-

So does the wife. With my luck, I will have a Patb beard before I get a buck. ;D
-
Just trimmed mine...
My intention is to look a bit more civilized for the moment, instead of a bald headed version of J.B. Hickok,
even though I have the right and some might say the obligation, by blood, to do so.
We'll see how long this lasts. ;)

Two Thumbs up hatcha, I like the way you think. I'm a beard wearer, more trimmed sometimes, but for now getting long in anticipation for a cold winter. Probably not the best for hunting deer cause hair carries smells. ???

(wrong quote ;))

Call the ACLU and tell them your bearded man rights are being violated, ::) ::) ::) ::) I go a month without shaving and nothing but a stubble! ;D
-
It used to take me a long time to grow a beard too. But, after growing it fully out and shaving it off for so many years it grows fast. In 4 weeks I'll have a full beard. It would take a long time, a few years anyway, to get to what PatB sports. My wife likes it when I grow it...and likes it when I shave it. Good woman.
Bearded man rights....I like that. :)

When mine get long enough around my mouth to eat with my meal then it gets trimmed. My kids have not known me with out a beard - more than 17 years now. My wife says it hides my "baby face" and keeps some of the women from hitting on me too bad.
-
I grew my first bear about 13 years ago at 50. It seems to agree with me.

I HATE wearing a beard. Its so itchy. But Im of French descent and tend to complain about that kinda thing. I only occasionally rock a little scruff for the ladies though.
JW- lol!

Noel, I went to a Catholic/Military highschool! The day I gratuated, June 1969, was the last time I shaved!
-
im doing the same ;D
