All free to the first person to take them (MUST TAKE THEM ALL THOUGH IS THE ONLY CONDITION). These are all the staves I don't want to mess with for some reason or another. They are all mulberry with like 2 hackberry splits. Some are perfect staves as long as you sinew em, some are a bit deflexed, some have knots right on the back that just don't look like fun at all, I have like 3 or 4 huge mulberry splits with huge rings, that just have way to much twist for me to want to mess with. I live in hamilton ohio 45015, with is just outside cincinnati. ALL will make bows for sure, but I am just lazy anymore and barely have enough time nowadays with just the perfect staves anyways. Once again, you must take all of them, >:D >:D >:D >:D >:D >:D >:D >:D

where you located?
-
ohio....... little to far for me to go at the present time
-
Hamilton ohio,a small city outside cincinnati ohio. Like the southwestern end of ohio.
-
I wouldn't wanna kill too much gas for these guys myself, honestly. ;D
-
Damn, I got a buddy just outside of Cincy, lives on the Kentucky side. I'm gonna have to see if he can do me a favor or if I need to make a visit haha.
-
There all seasoned a good bit, at least enough to rough out a bow without fear of it warping. All was cut this spring, most quite early, so all of em are at least 3 or four months seasoned.

I'm not sure I can make the trip, these are still up for grabs if someone can get there before me. Just wanted to let everyone know.
-
toomanyknots, I live in Richmond, Ky, about 2 hours south of Cincy. It would take me about $60 in gas to get up there and back in the truck, do you think that would be worth it? How "advanced" are these staves? I'm only starting on my first stave bows, I normally make board bows, so if these are character-laden staves I'm not sure I will be able to make anything except firewood out of them ::). Also not sure when I would be able to get up there.
-
Well most of em I would say would be "advanced" staves, but with care, time, and a sinew backing, maybe some steam bending for a couple as well, I'm sure you could get a bow out of each one. But it is up to you. Most of em as I said are troublesome staves, hense the reason I am trying to get rid of em! That and my wife constantly murmuring ever so faintly about how I have turned the upstairs into a lumberyard...

HAHA!!!
