Title: Clear cure Urac tip!
Post by: Prarie Bowyer on September 28, 2011, 04:49:06 pm
SO I'm doing some research on Urac, my new favorite glue, and I found a way to get it to cure nearly clear.  See the powder contains walnut shell flour.  This is a bulking ingredient.  To get it to cure nearly clear you need to mix a TINY anount of amonium chloride with a JUST enough water to melt the salts.  Then mix this new hardner into the adhesive at a 13:1 ratio.  Normal is 2:1 with the smaller part being the hardner.  So for a bow project you would be talking about literaly a few drops of the clear cure hardner.

Just thought I'd pass that along.
