My cup runneth over. I was fortunate enough to get #5 this morning. It was drizzling rain during the night but let up at about 5:00 am. I climbed in a tree and listened to the drip drip drip until 6:45 when 3 does came up the ridge. They were headed straight for my tree. The lead doe walked under a beech tree then stopped. I needed her to take two steps for the shot. He held up a minute then took the step giving me an open shot.

That's awesome, very nice job! I hope I can at least get one. Our season opens Saturday. Way to fill the freezer. :)

You've killed 5 deer this year?? How many are you allowed to kill? What do you do with all the meat?

We can kill 3 does per day with the bow and 3 bucks per season. We eat the meat. I always give some to some families who can use the meat.

Wow, that's great. Here in Texas (in the county I hunt) we can shoot 5 deer per year, only 2 of which can be bucks. Anyway, I'll bet you're a fast butcherer... ;D

Man, Jimmy, that's why you're the shooting champ. I still hope there is at least one deer left when I get up there. ;) And we have a liberal limit here in Florida to, Archery season we can kill two a day, any sex for the whole season. then the same for bucks on Public land for gun season and get a solid week for does with guns on private land with the same limits. Our season starts Aug 31 till the end of Feb.

Will - I'll be there tomorrow from 1100ish till 2:30 or so then hunt the evening and I have a function tomorrow night. You going to be there Sat? I'll be over on Saturday.
