Finished this bow just today. Wasn't real happy with the one I had made right before this one so gave it another try. Other one developed a fret and this one is so far so good!!
Wanted it for turkey and some 3-d. It's osage and rawhide backed. Backed only because I wanted to try rawhide. 44# @ 26" and 53" ntn. Nice to shoot, no hand shock to speak of and shoots where I'm looking. Maybe not real fast but hope it works good for the turkeys!! ;D
First try at this kind of shelf and first one I've made and not cut a shelf. My wife did did artwork on back which was copied from an original bow we had taken a picture of at an older gentlemens house we were working at.
Got to go shoot it some more ;)....later, Lowell

That's one nof the shortest rigid handled bows I've seen. Great project.

You got a lot out of that little chunk of wood, excellent work. Also, give my compliments to your wife for her artwork-love it.
