Here's a bow i'm making for a man over on paleoplanet. Thought you guys might like a look.
It's around 30lb @ 14. I haven't had a chance to chronograph it yet but i'll let you know what it does.
It's water buffalo horn, twin laminated maple core and 3 layers of sinew.

The first picture made me think it was full sized, and I saw the next picture, and I was like "man that guy is huge.... ..er... wait a minute?" Awesome bow!
-
man that thing is awesome.

A man after my heart. Way cool!

That would be a fantastic way to blow off steam in my cubicle. Office archery? ???
Maybe not at 30 lbs ;D
Nicely done!

That is sweet! A miniature horn bow, wow. That little thing took a lot of work to make I'm sure.
My boss has been wanting me to make him a small bow to keep in his office.
-
Thats pretty cool!

Great poundage for that little bow- why do not make that thing but much larger? ;) :)
-
That bow is just sooo cool!
Just make sure you have it very visible or you could be taken in for carrying a cosealed weapon :o

Cool bow mike. You could use that in drive by shootings or hide it in your trench coat ;D
-
That looks real nice.
I'd like to make a full size one of those some day.
-
Cheers guys. Just measured the weight and it's 42lbs @ 14....no wonder it is a bit of a strain to draw it ::)
I've got a few full sized versions in the works at the moment, 2 Turkish bows like this one and a Magyar bow as well.
When I made the core of this bow I used two thin lams so it was easier to bend into the correct shape. I might experiment a little more with this idea.
I shot a few arrows and it really spits them out, it might be fun to make some flight arrows and see what it can do. The last one I made was good for 200+yds. The beauty of the arrows only being 14 inch long you can go mad with barrelling and not lose too much stiffness. I've got some pitch pine shafts which are really stiff for their diameter which should work well.

Wow Right on. Someone finely made a bow for my draw length! :o All kidding aside, Very cool bow
-
Thats a cool little bow! good job!
-
Cool!! Love those lines. Can we see it unstrung??

Thats hillarious!! Mainly because I thought the exact same thing. That is a really cool bow though!

Mike, this might be the coolest "little" big horn bow I've ever seen! What a great way to say $ on materials and test out different designs and material combos...I would think even my 9 & 12 year old could really enjoy something like this...excellent stuff my friend!

Thanks guys. Just measured the weight and it's 42lb @ 14 :o
Going to do some testing today and i'll take a picture of it unstrung.

Though i'd add some little and large photos. :o Big brother is 47 inches ntn.

V nice, looks great.
Love those full draw curves.
The incidental clutter in the shot is interesting too. You can tell a lot from a man's clutter as my old Mum used to say :)
Mind I've never tried making biscuits out of dog :o

Very nice Mike. These bows very much impress me. It's amazing what you can get out of them with such a small working area, and how they stay in one piece,(even with the materials used). Great work! God Bless
