Hey Folks its great to post here again. Ive been making lots of bows but sometimes I get lazy with the pics. I really really enjoyed making this bow so I took some nice pictures and edited it. The bow is a reproduction from the bow in the Grayson collection and is classified as Choctaw. I did the length and with just like the original, i treid to get the nocks the same and even the paint job. The stave was an osage orange stave that had a slight reflex and I got from Matt Wiriwiki. THANKS MATT! the bow is sealed with rendered bear fat and the string is a reverse twist sinew string from deer backstrap :) the bow is 50lbs @ 26 inches. I absolutely loved how smooth it is and how fast it shoots. On the pic it looks like the top limb needs to bend slightly more at the fade, but I think it may be the camera angle bcause in the mirror ir looks good, lol.

by the way its 56 inches long and theres like 1/4 follow or less.

Very cool man, and great use of natural materials! I'll have to read up on making a string like that. Love the action shot also; it looks like you are fending off an invading tribe. ;)

Lol JW that would be wonderful indeed. Hopefully one day we will meet and talk bows and stuff. I tell you this stuff runs in my veins and cant seem to shake it off until imake em all plus a few horn bows, lol.
