Looks good! I got some hickory boards the other day, but the yard had a nice stack of hard maple, too. I guess I'll have to try it, now.

im workin on a maple board bow atm, what are the dimensions?? i think i see parralel front view for 5-6 inches out of the fade. im doin 65 for 30" :S i hope it doesnt take too much set :D

your right about the dimensions so far. where they are parrallel its two inches then at the 5" mark tapers to 1/4" knocks. it only took 1 1/4" set. This is a bit more than i get from most maple i have tried. Usually its around 1/2 to 3/4". Turned out great though and a 1 1/4" aint nothing to cry about. I love maple as a bow wood.

Its hard to get good pictures with a run of the mill digital camera. I took nearly 30 pics the last time I posted pictures of a bow, and only about 5 of them were any good. I discovered a setting in my camera for taking pictures of food, and it gave slightly better results.

Noice bow man!  I like the way you salvaged it, I try to do the same.  Hate to see a piece of wood not make a bow.  It looks like the rings are pretty wide?  Good job on the tillerooski, keep 'em comin. :)
