i have a bunch of extra unused braided dacron flyline backing i have no use for,  but i think i might be able to make strings from it.

it's 20lb breaking strength so wouldn't 14 strands of it work in a string?

i will try to post a picture later

In our lakes and rivers, (puddles and ditches) I have never had mine all the way out to the backing.  I think mine is braided and would stretch to much. Justin

thanks justin.  I will probably stick to the stuff ment for string making.

i might try it though because its not doing any good sitting there

David, You could use it for wrapping handles. I would probably make a good, non-slip, weather proof grip.     Pat
