Hi all,
I just trying to build some bamboo tackedown limbs my question is the belly laminations can stop at the end of the fade not going till the end of the wedge? because the wedge is 0.5" thick. Thanks Mike

Don't understand your question. ???
-
That is posible but is a easy thing to get wrong so You may want to continue far enough to be sure its not gonna over stress it there!
A drawing or pic of your style will show us more !

something like this
-
make your wedge without the step,or make it less abrupt..are you trying to use raw boo for the belly?
-
here are some pics of a boo backed and boo belly take-down i made last year,, hope this can help.
-
That is a awesome looking bow robustus.
-
Man, another pretty one.
-
Hey robustus what do you use to connect the limbs with the handle. I've been thinking of trying a takedown bow with black walnut.
-
i use the same takedown hardware that is used in f---- g---- bows,,, there are several company's that sell the hardware parts to make bows

Thanks everybody, honest to be I have two pieces of bamboo with a oak wedge glued-on and for belly I was thinking of hard maple, hickory or ipe depends on what I can find next saturday. Thanks again, Mike.

Hi James,thanks for input,outstanding bow.mike

Love the simplicity of this. The tiller needs to be determined by the taper of the inner laminations right?
