I love the shine of the black butter. This was almost a point, but I changed my mind at the last second. Dacite on deer legbone. Hafted with pine pitch, wrapped in sinew. I also covered the sinew with a little hide glue. I threw on the snakeskin before wrapping and when it all dried, I gave the handle a generous coat of pine pitch varnish. While it was drying I tried my hand at weaving and made a simple sheath for it.
