Decided to knapp in the barn where it was dry. The previous land owner had put all of there remodel debris in the hillside and partially cover it up :P. One positive to this is all of the 12 by 12 pastel colored glass tiles. I've made several hunting points from this stuff and like it. This one is bigger than anything that I typically make. Maybe throw deer ulna on the end and call it good. Thanks for looking.

Thanks for the comments guys! Cipriano, I can let you know when I hit clay on the other side :o
Kinda like an Easter egg hunt or like looking for rock elsewhere. The family just stacks in in my pit when they do cleanup. Derik you'll have to stop and get some, bring a dump truck please >:D
Thanks, Tracy

Tracy, that stuff sure looks like it knapps good. And I love the fact that your salvagin it. Makes it feel that much better, I bet. Nice blade there!
-
What kind of glass is that from?
-
It is glass tiles from the 70's that is smooth on one side and slightly ridged/grooved on the back side. Flakes like obsidian and is about 1/4 " thick.

Very beautiful, excellent work.
I'm a big fan of recycled glass projects, the material is very fun to work with.

Well done. That is a very sweet blade! One to put in the display case.

Tracy, sounds like carrara glass, the little ridges are the glue side, alot of old store fronts an such used this stuff, not that I'm old enough to remeber this glass :oLater Bob
