I took my son fishin today and all we caught was a bunch of bluegill which was fine by me. Now i just gotta decide how i wanna fix them tomorrow i dont know if i wanna fry them or grill them hmmmm.... :-\

gonna thaw me out some Crappie when I get home now, kinda made me hungry! :D

Yea we dont have any real good crappie fishing around here. The closest place has some black crappie but the population is so low that its real hard to fish for them.

i saw a recipe were it said to filet then boil them in a cajun shrimp boil for a few minutes , haven't tried it but sounds pretty good

I miss bluegill! Not many out here in Wyo. I like to mix cornmeal and flour 50/50, take Lawry's seasoning salt and color the top of the mix with it. Add a bit of black pepper and mix. Then dip the filleted bluegill in egg/milk and into the cormeal/flour/Lawry's mix and fry hot.
Won't be many leftovers.
