Title: primitive sealer
Post by: Blacktail on May 02, 2012, 01:06:45 am
i have a bow coming up...and it has pigment paint...so,you might be able to guess what kind...i want to seal it BUT i am worried about the pigment smearing or getting a good coat to seal it...SO,i only have bees wax or lard.or mixing the both...do you think it would ruin the paint...john

What about doing a quick test on a piece of scrap wood? I would expect beeswax and/or lard to be just fine over a water based paint.

Grease heated in with a heat gun or hair dryer works great. Jawge
