Anybody ever used birch bark tar as a bow/arrow finish?
This stuff is very waterproof, preserves wood extremely well and makes a nice yellow/brown finish.

The only time I've ever seen the stuff was for hafting arrows. It was crazy thick, and super sticky. Not sure how it would work as a finish, but give it a go. I would love to see how it works out. Let me know, if it works, maybe I'll give it a go too.
