Title: Tenn. classic flint
Post by: Outbackbob48 on May 22, 2012, 10:48:32 pm
Here's apoint I made today with some flint from either Will or Brian, had so many great people handing me stone hard to know exactly where what came from , either way this pc worked pretty good after I got into it, a little ruff  on the outside :o but I got it under control an ended up with a good point for me. Thanks for looking. Bob

Great job on that one Bob! Looks like Sonora to me. Probably from Brian ;) those notches are awesome! Did you punch em in?

Will, I punched in with my trusty duplex nail ;D The material is the kind with quite a bit of brown or tan on the outside an darker as you get deeper into it, I thought it was the Kentucky blue . Is sonora the real dark blue black or are they both the same and just better grades be the all black . Wow that's about as clear as mud. :o :o Later Bob

That's a mighty, fine point, Bob. I waited too late again this year. Just as I was ready to buy some of that rock James Parker bought all that was left, I think 200#. :'(
