Title: Squirrel in the pan

So I had to try this blunt I made out of split douglas-fir.  It weighs in a hair over 900 grns.  I finally got around to sticking some feathers on it after watching Dave Cheney do fire-side demo on primitive fletching at the Central Oregon Bowyers gathering.  So I had just finished the fletching, grabbed my Bob Lee recurve, because it was right there, and stepped out onto the back deck to find an Eastern gray squirrel (non-native in these parts) at the feeder.  At about 7 yds, it did the trick quick.

nice one...looks like the 900 grains is enough for the grays...how did it fly...john

Congratulations Carson, I knew that thing would pack a heck of a punch, when I frst saw it.  We have a ton of Silver grays here at our place but they are protected. >:( They are always emptying the bird feeder and drop and shred the pine cones all over the yard.  BTW snowing hard here this morning and the yard is turning white again. ::) >:(
